For the debut release of Diggers’ Delight Records, we’re happy to bring you Pomme Rouge, the love child of the Beirut-based band Gizzmo. Joy Moughanni and Alex Chahine shimmy between their analog and digital monikers delivering an array of genres both on stage and behind the decks. The pair won the Beirut Berlin Express competition after which they produced their debut EP in Berlin. The duo dabble with gear, combining rawness with structure, crafting house music by hand. Pomme Rouge dive into the universe of 303 and 101 resulting in Not a Gizzmo- a stompy cut sitting neatly between house and tech. Dubby delays and a bassline on the verge of acid are held together by hopeful shuffling hats. This track is a sonic homage to the graduation of Pomme Rouge from a side-project to the real deal.
